Stressed?🤔

You can make a variety of lifestyle changes to help manage your anxiety. In this blog, I’m going to provide you with some GREAT foods, along with some personal tips that I apply in my day to day  life that can also help! Are you ready? Let’s do this!

Below are some symptoms that could possibly indicate if you’re experiencing anxiety/stress:

  1. Fear

  2. Tension

  3. Excessive worry about everyday events and problems.

  4. Irritability

  5.  Difficulty concentrating

  6. Personal issues with social and work relationships.

  7. High blood pressure

  8. Muscle Tension

Wow! I can honestly say, that I’ve experienced each of these. But the good news is…… there’s help! No worries!! Now, you may say, “yeah, that’s easy for you to say!” Orrrrr, “you have no idea what Im going through!” You’re absolutely right! I don’t, but I know of someone who you can cast ALL of your cares upon, and his name is “JESUS!” What a wonderful name!  The thing is, if you’re worrying, it shows lack of trust in him! He knows all about us. Pray, & let him guide you. Talk to him. He listens! That’s my method! It will save you heartaches & headaches just trusting in him. He’s in control. Sometimes you have to just let it go!! ( In my FROZEN voice) Jesus loves us with an everlasting love. It’s unconditional. There’s nothing too big or too small for him to handle! Try it! Try him!  Here’s a couple of bible scriptures that I love to read when I feel overwhelmed.

In nothing, be anxious; but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be known made into God.  Philippians 4:6

And the peace of God, which passeth all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus. Phillipians 4:7

Lastly, here are some foods to incorporate into your daily diet that will help reduce anxiety.

  1. Fatty fish such as salmon. It is high in Omega-3.

  2. Vitamin D. Lack of vitamin D has been linked & proven to mood disorders, depression, & anxiety.

  3. Egg yolks. They’re a great source of vitamin D and also an excellent source of protein.

  4. Turmeric. Turmeric has an active ingredient called curcumin. Curcumin may help lower anxiety by reducing inflammation and oxidative stress.

  5. Good ol’ Chamomile! Chamomile contains the relaxant and anti-anxiety properties that come from flavonoids.

  6. Green tea. Green tea contains an amino acid called theanine. Theanine has anti-anxiety and calming effects.

  7. Yogurt. Yogurt contains healthy bacteria, which can have positive effects on the brain.
