This smoothie is sweet, tasty, creamy, & satisfying! I actually made this at my mothers home after a workout with limited ingredients. But let me tell you, the taste certainly DID NOT disappoint! I’m sure we’re all well aware of the excellent benefits of smoothies by now, so I’ll spare you this particular time!! One thing I adore about smoothies, are the ENDLESS limitations of the ingredients. You can overload them with your favorite fruits & vegetables, as well as the not so favorites. Once you blend them, you can hardly tell they’re there! YAASSSS! It tastes as if you’re sipping on a refreshing fruity shake! This was my 1st time adding a sweet potato to my smoothie, & trust me when I say, “it will NOT be the last!” So yummy!
Did you know that sweet potatoes are a root vegetable? Not only that, sweet potatoes are high in antioxidants, they have anti-flammatory nutrients, they’re a good source of fiber, vitamin A & C, & the list goes on. If you care to know more, just check out my blog entitled “sweet potatoes!” Now, let’s get back to this delicious smoothie & learn what’s included.
1 ripe banana
1 cup of frozen nectarines
1/2 of a small sweet potato
1/2 cup of unsweetened almond milk
Combine all above ingredients into a blender & blend until smooth! Drink & enjoy!
