Now that it’s officially summer, drinking a smoothie in the morning is one of the best ways to get your morning started. Not only mornings, but smoothies are great to have throughout the day as well. Why? Because smoothies are packed with fruits and/or vegetables & it’s one of the cleverest ways to get them in! The best part is, you can’t even tell you’re drinking them! Smoothies are also a fantastic way to make it your own. They can be used as meal replacements for weight loss, getting more veggies & fruits into your diet, for pre/post workout drinks, energy, & even just to amp up your protein. Smoothies are also absolutely delicious! Complete win! You can also cater smoothies to your own individual needs! It’s all about health!
It’s been a moment since my last smoothie post. I’ve been working on new smoothie recipes & this is one of many more to come! I’m a smoothie girl at heart! There are days when I feel as though I haven’t gotten enough fruits & vegetables in. Even protein! How many of you can relate to this? Well, smoothies are a great & delicious quick fix! So if you’re looking to do either of these things, drink a smoothie or two a day! What do you have to loose? This nectarine pineapple smoothie is sweet, refreshing, tropical, healthy, & completely AMAZING! The nectarines used in this recipe came straight from the trees at my local orchard. Hand picked! Need I say more? Now, let’s talk smoothie! Here’s what’s included in this sweetie!
1 nectarine peeled & pit removed (or frozen will do)
1/2 cup of frozen pineapples
1 well ripened frozen banana
1/2 cup of unsweetened vanilla almond milk
- 1 tbsp of raw honey* (optional for added sweetness)
Combine all above ingredients in blender. Blend until smooth. Enjoy!
