I believe this stir fry cabbage is 1 of my favorite “go to” veggie meals. It is so very easy to make, & takes roughly 30 minutes to cook. Why cabbage? Cabbage is a brain food! Didn’t know that huh? Well, I’m here to enlighten you a bit.Cabbage is full of vitamin K which helps with the mental function and concentration. Red cabbage is even better! It has the highest amount of these power nutrients, but I’ll save those FAQ’s for another blog! Cabbage is also a power food, it is also ideal for weight loss (low in fat & high in fiber), cabbage is high in sulfur, which is essential for keratin & a protein substance necessary for healthy hair, skin & nails. Cabbage also helps detoxify the body, has known cancer preventative compounds, helps keep blood pressure from getting high, and lastly, cabbage is an anti-inflammatory & blood sugar regulator. WOW!
Now that I’ve given you a brief rundown of cabbage benefits, and why you should incorporate cabbage in your daily regimen, lets talk about preparation. I’m a simple kinda gal, & I love moderation. Moderation is everything! If you don’t own a Wok, let me tell you, you’re cheating yourself! Trust me on this one! A Wok will be your new bff, & will basically change your kitchen life! It simply does all of the hard labor, it’s versatile, & you get more bang for your buck! Who doesn’t want that? So, let’s talk about what you will need. In this recipe, I used 1 head of green cabbage. Keep in mind, the cabbage will shrink as you slow cook. No worries! Here’s what you will need to do.
